At the 2026 Global Sourcing Association (GSA) Awards in London, Simplex Services was honoured with two major industry awards:
🏆 Transformation Programme of the Year (with Nuveen)
🏆 IT Services Programme of the Year
For our team, these awards represent more than a successful evening. They recognise a multi-year journey of transformation that helped unify systems, simplify operations, strengthen security and create a scalable foundation for growth. The vision of the initiative was ambitious, and the results speak for itself.
Transformation Programme of the Year

The first award recognised our work in helping transform the way Nuveen operates globally after its merger with the parent company, TIAA, as the Transformation Programme of the Year. This was not a technology refresh project. It was an enterprise transformation initiative touching people, processes, governance, security, service delivery and infrastructure.
Over several years, the programme delivered:
- A unified Microsoft 365 environment across Nuveen and TIAA
- Consolidation of enterprise Active Directory services
- Global Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Regional service hubs in London and Singapore
- Full ServiceNow integration
- Migration from legacy Telstra data centres to a cloud-first architecture
- A repeatable model for future mergers and acquisitions
The transformation was built around a clear objective: creating a secure, scalable global platform that would enable collaboration, growth and operational consistency regardless of location. For an organisation with teams operating across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, the impact extended far beyond technology. It fundamentally changed how employees connected, collaborated and worked together.
The programme delivered substantial business outcomes, including:
- 38% faster support resolution
- 94% user satisfaction following service desk transition
- 96% reduction in security incidents
- Zero findings across two consecutive KPMG audits
- 13 million files migrated to SharePoint
- Multi-factor authentication and single sign-on implemented across 52 critical applications
- New offices onboarded in Abu Dhabi, Madrid and Frankfurt
The programme also delivered sustainability benefits, including reduced infrastructure footprint, decommissioning hundreds of virtual machines and diverting electronic waste from landfill. Most importantly, the transformation created a scalable foundation that will support future growth and future acquisitions.
IT Services Programme of the Year

While the Transformation Programme award recognised strategic change, the second award focused on something equally important: service excellence. The IT Services Programme of the Year award recognised how our work with the client transformed the day-to-day technology experience for its users around the world.
Technology transformation succeeds only when users experience the benefits directly. To achieve this, the programme focused on four pillars:
- Unified Identity: A single identity and workspace for users globally.
- Unified Support: A global support model with standardised service levels, processes and reporting.
- Unified Network: Modern collaboration and connectivity infrastructure supporting secure global operations.
- Unified Experience: A common standard for service delivery, governance and operational excellence.
The programme brought together multiple support organisations, unified service management through ServiceNow and established common operational standards across regions. The outcome was not just improved technology infrastructure but improved business services. Users gained faster support, better collaboration capabilities and a more consistent digital workplace experience.
The business services achievements recognised by the judges included:
- 94% user satisfaction
- 38% faster issue handling
- One global ServiceNow platform
- More than 13 million files migrated to SharePoint
- Over 140 servers decommissioned
- 32 global network circuits deployed
- Improved onboarding for new offices and future acquisitions
The award demonstrates how well-designed IT services can become an enabler of business growth rather than simply a support function.
Why These Awards Matter
Winning the two 2026 GSA Awards is particularly meaningful because they recognise two capabilities that organisations increasingly need from their technology partners.
The first is the ability to execute complex transformation programmes that align technology, people and business objectives. The second is the ability to deliver reliable, scalable and high-quality services every day once the transformation is complete.
For Simplex Services, these awards reflect an approach built around long-term partnership, disciplined execution, and measurable business outcomes. These awards belong to the teams who designed, delivered, and supported the transformation programme, as well as the partnership between Nuveen and Simplex Services that made the vision possible. The recognition from the GSA Awards is an acknowledgement of that collective effort.
