Network Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design, develop, and govern secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions across enterprise and industrial environments. The role requires strong technical depth, stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to lead solution design across complex customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end network solutions aligned to business and technical requirements.
  • Produce architecture documentation, high-level designs, and low-level design specifications.
  • Design cloud networking solutions, including secure firewall architectures.
  • Lead requirement gathering and solution design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership to network SMEs and implementation teams.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work effectively in fast-changing environments and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in network architecture, design, and engineering.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise and industrial network solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare architecture and design documentation for complex environments.
  • Experience working in customer-facing roles with strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to lead network SMEs and support technical decision-making across programmes.

Core Technical Skills

  • Cisco LAN, WAN, and Wireless technologies.
  • Industrial switching and secure enterprise network design.
  • Network security and firewalls, including Palo Alto.
  • SD-WAN technologies, including Silver Peak and HPE Aruba.
  • Cloud networking design and secure firewall integration.
  • Cisco TrustSec (SGT) with Cisco ISE for industrial ethernet switch environments.
  • RADIUS, Cisco WLC, and rugged access point design and models.
  • CURWB network design for AGV and AMR wireless use cases.
  • VRF and zone-based network design.
  • Next-generation firewall design aligned to cyber security requirements.
  • Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) and Cisco ISE.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to provide technical leadership in customer-facing environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture, security principles, and solution design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing high-level and low-level design documents for complex network environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.

Certifications

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure or equivalent advanced
  • Cisco certification preferred.
    Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise required or strongly preferred.
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) preferred.
  • Relevant Aruba or SD-WAN certifications are advantageous.
  • Cyber security or cloud networking certifications would be a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in OT, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments.
  • Exposure to large-scale network transformation or migration programmes.
  • Familiarity with zero trust principles and network segmentation strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across security, infrastructure, and cloud domains.
  • Knowledge of project delivery frameworks and ability to support pre-sales or solution assurance activities.
