M365 Consultant / M365 Specialist

Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Microsoft 365 Consultant to help design, administer, support, and continuously improve our Microsoft 365 environment across enterprise-scale operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys working across collaboration, messaging, automation, security, and cloud technologies while enabling a seamless digital workplace experience.

In this role, you will work across core Microsoft 365 services including Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, and Viva Engage. You will play a key role in platform support, service improvement, governance, automation, and user experience, ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performing collaboration services for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, support, and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, and Viva Engage
  • Manage onboarding, configuration, migrations, upgrades, and day-to-day operations across Microsoft 365 environments
  • Monitor platform health, service availability, performance, and usage trends to ensure a high-quality end-user experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to collaboration, messaging, access, mail flow, Teams meetings, and call quality
  • Work with Azure and related cloud services that support identity, access, integration, and Microsoft 365 operations
  • Analyse logs, alerts, and service data to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and prevent repeat incidents
  • Partner with infrastructure, networking, voice, and security teams to improve platform stability, performance, and governance
  • Implement automation and operational improvements using PowerShell and Power Platform tools
  • Support compliance, governance, retention, and security standards across the Microsoft 365 estate
  • Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, operational reports, and service review materials
  • Act as an escalation point for complex support issues and contribute to incident, problem, and change management activities
  • Share knowledge with team members, support continuous improvement, and mentor junior engineers where needed

Skills & Experience

  • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 administration, support, or consulting roles
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience supporting hybrid and cloud-based Microsoft environments, including migrations and service improvements
  • Good understanding of Azure administration concepts and services related to Microsoft 365
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting, automation, and operational optimization
  • Understanding of identity and access management, security, compliance, and governance within Microsoft ecosystems
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, endpoint management, and enterprise support environments
  • Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and service performance improvement
  • Familiarity with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-availability enterprise environments
  • Exposure to ITIL, Agile, or structured service delivery practices is an advantage

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
  • ITIL Certification is an advantage

Good to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot implementation, administration, or governance
  • Exposure to Intune, Conditional Access, and endpoint management practices
  • Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, and directory synchronization
  • Knowledge of Power BI, analytics, or reporting tools
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated enterprise environments
  • Awareness of Microsoft 365 security, retention, governance, and compliance capabilities
  • Exposure to AI-led automation or digital workplace transformation initiatives

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
