Cyber Security Specialist – End-User Technologies
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist with expertise in end-user technologies to protect and enhance the security of our organisation’s end-user environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures for end-user devices, applications, and access systems while ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, a strong understanding of security best practices, and the ability to collaborate across IT and business teams to safeguard end-user ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:
- End-User Security Strategy & Implementation:
- Develop and implement security strategies to protect end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IoT.
- Deploy and manage endpoint protection platforms, including antivirus, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) solutions.
- Ensure secure configurations of end-user environments through tools like Group Policy, MDM, and configuration baselines.
- Access & Identity Management:
- Implement and manage secure identity and access management (IAM) systems, including single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Monitor and enhance privilege access controls for end-user systems.
- Incident Detection & Response:
- Monitor security logs and alerts from end-user devices to identify threats and anomalies.
- Lead the response and remediation efforts for security incidents affecting end-user technologies.
- Security Awareness & Training:
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to deliver end-user security awareness programs, focusing on phishing, social engineering, and secure device usage.
- Regularly test and improve end-user readiness through simulated attacks or vulnerability assessments.
- Collaboration with IT Teams:
- Work closely with IT support and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless implementation of security measures.
- Provide technical guidance on the secure integration of collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure end-user security measures align with industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Maintain documentation of security policies, configurations, and incident response processes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities in end-user technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools or practices to enhance end-user security.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on end-user technologies.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint protection, EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, VMware Workspace ONE).
- Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth understanding of Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems security.
- Familiarity with IAM solutions (e.g., Okta, Azure AD) and SSO/MFA protocols.
- Strong knowledge of encryption, VPNs, and secure application delivery mechanisms.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to handle complex security challenges.
- Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar.
- Experience with Zero Trust frameworks and implementation.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for security tasks.
