Business Development Executive
We are seeking a high‑performing Business Development Executive to drive adoption of our Risk Assurance Platform, a modern solution that helps organisations assess, monitor, and evidence risk across various business and technology domains. You will spearhead sales outreach, build relationships with prospects, identify opportunities, build pipeline and convert them into revenue.
This is a consultative, high‑impact role ideal for someone who understands technology, compliance, security assurance, and the emerging risk assurance market.
There’s an opportunity for the candidate to upsell and cross sell wider Simplex Services current and future offerings to do more sales and earn commissions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Pipeline Creation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across private and public sectors for the Risk Assurance Platform.
- Build a strong pipeline through outbound outreach, networking, events, and partnerships.
- Qualify inbound leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
2. Client Engagement & Solution Selling
- Understand customer needs related to risk, compliance, assurance, governance, data protection, and security posture.
- Deliver product demos, capability briefings, and value‑focused presentations.
3. Commercial Ownership
- Develop proposals, pricing models, and SOWs in coordination with internal teams.
- Lead negotiations to close deals while maintaining healthy margins.
- Accurately forecast revenue, pipeline stages, and close dates.
4. Collaboration
- Work closely with product, delivery, and marketing teams to provide customer insights.
- Feed market intelligence into the platform roadmap and service improvement cycles.
- Represent the company at industry events and forums.
5. Relationship Management
- Build long-term, trusted relationships with customers including CXOs, Heads of Risk, Compliance and Technology leaders.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and support expansion opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of risk, governance, assurance, or audit concepts.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate technical platform capabilities into clear business value.
- 3+ years of experience in selling technology, SaaS, cloud, risk, or compliance solutions.
- Experience selling to public sector, financial services, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with technology assurance, cloud security standards, ISO frameworks, business compliance models.
- Logical thinker with good attention to detail and driven by the quality of their output.
- Analytical problem solver.
- Team player who enjoys building relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Committed, commercial, professional, and diligent.
- Develop and provide best practices for bid submission.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced user in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
