Apprentice: IT Solution Technician
Candidate to provide assistance to IT Service Desk team in answering calls, dealing with new tickets and other general administrative tasks. This apprenticeship will provide training in areas such as:
- Functional skills, Math L2 and English L2
- PC Fundamentals
- Business Processes & Customer Services
- Networking & Architecture
- Mobile & Operating Systems
- Cloud Services
- Coding & Logic
Must have:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Math)
- Basic knowledge of assigning tickets via service management software
- Skills to investigate, monitor and resolve any incidents/service requests within the service management software
- Skills to liaise with our internal and external clients, IT support personnel and external suppliers to resolve incidents
- Capability to monitor and distribute stock control (eg, monitors, maintenance kits, keyboard, mice)
- Good telephone skills to attend incoming calls to the IT Service Desk
- Meticulous approach to asset tag, log and where appropriate document all IT assets
- Willingness to participate in approved IT related projects as directed
- Ability to assist, wherever necessary during system downs and emergencies
- Basic technical understanding to provision end user devices
- Skills to investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software faults
